I thought it would be nice to have a central place where all my kid-related musings, funny stories, and pictures could go so that our friends and family could get updates whenever they wanted.

For anyone who doesn't know us already...

I'm Tricia, a 31-year-old working mom to Eleanor, aged 21 months. I live with my husband of 5.5 years, Andy, in a suburb of Washington, DC, and I work as a writer and editor for a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). I love my job and my work-life balance.

Our first child, Joseph, died at birth on May 26, 2005 due to a complication of labor. Fourteen months later, Eleanor came into our lives and has been the greatest blessing either of us could imagine. Our third child, and second daughter, will be arriving via C-section on July 8, 2008.
